How do I book a delivery?

Booking a delivery with DeliveryYa is quick and easy:

  1. Visit our booking page
  2. Fill in the required information including pickup and delivery addresses
  3. Select your preferred delivery option
  4. Review your booking details
  5. Complete the payment process
  6. You will receive a confirmation email with your tracking details

What information do I need when booking?

To complete a booking, you'll need to provide:

  • Sender details: Your name, contact number, and pickup address
  • Recipient details: Name, contact number, and delivery address
  • Package information: Size, weight, and brief description of contents
  • Delivery preferences: Delivery option and any special handling requirements
  • Payment information: Credit/debit card or other payment method details

For recurring customers, we can save your information for faster bookings in the future.

Can I schedule a delivery for a specific time?

Yes, DeliveryYa offers time slot selection for both Standard and Express delivery options:

  • Standard Delivery: You can select a preferred delivery window (morning, afternoon, or evening)
  • Express Delivery: You can select a specific 2-hour delivery window
  • Special Handling: You can select a specific 1-hour delivery window

Please note that Economy delivery does not support time slot selection. For the most precise delivery timing, we recommend our Express or Special Handling options.

All delivery time slots are subject to availability and may vary based on your location.

How far in advance should I book my delivery?

Recommended booking times depend on your chosen delivery option:

  • Economy Delivery: At least 24 hours in advance
  • Standard Delivery: At least 6 hours in advance
  • Express Delivery: At least 1 hour in advance
  • Special Handling: At least 3 hours in advance (due to special preparation requirements)

While we can sometimes accommodate last-minute bookings, especially for Express delivery, we recommend booking in advance to ensure availability and your preferred time slot. During peak seasons (holidays, etc.), we suggest booking 1-2 days earlier than usual.

What if I need to change or cancel my booking?

You can modify or cancel your booking through your account dashboard, our mobile app, or by contacting customer service:

  • Modifications: Changes to pickup/delivery address, contact information, or delivery instructions can be made up until the package is dispatched
  • Rescheduling: You can change the delivery date/time before dispatch with no fee, subject to availability
  • Cancellations: Our cancellation policy depends on how close to the delivery time you cancel:
    • More than 2 hours before pickup: Full refund
    • Less than 2 hours before pickup: 75% refund
    • After dispatch: No refund available

What happens if the recipient is not available?

If the recipient is unavailable at the time of delivery, our standard procedure is:

  1. Our driver will call the recipient's contact number
  2. If there's no answer, we'll wait for up to 5 minutes at the delivery location
  3. We'll leave a delivery attempt notification at the address
  4. The package will be returned to our distribution center
  5. We'll contact both sender and recipient to arrange redelivery

You can avoid missed deliveries by:

  • Providing accurate contact information for the recipient
  • Using our real-time tracking to alert the recipient about delivery timing
  • Adding delivery instructions (e.g., "Leave with security guard")
  • Selecting a time slot when the recipient will be available

Please note that a redelivery fee may apply for additional delivery attempts.
